Whale Vomit

Apparently, perfume manufacturers used to use ambergris (or whale vomit) as a fixative in perfume. Now it is such a rare find that most manufacturers use a synthetic version. A fisherman on the south Australian coast, however, has found a 32 pound piece of ambergris on a beach. For this find, the man could receive upwards of $295,000.
