Dagens Namn -- 24 Februari 2006
Today is your name day if your name is: Mats or Matias.
This is the Swedish equivalent of Matt!! What you win is the power to demand gifts from your friends and family alike. I was telling another Matt I know, that on September 21st the name is Matteus, so you could actually claim that day as well. Double name day, lucky you!! I'm sure your parents were thinking of exactly that when they named you.
Oh I am sure they were. Mrs. Shife told me that in Slovakia your name day is a way bigger deal than your birthday. She spent a year there on an exchange. And before I forget Roger and the boys are heading through my fair city in April so I will get to see them again. It is a few days after my birthday so it will be a nice belated present.

Is this the Swedish equivalent of Matt? If so then it is really my day. Do I win anything?
Have a great weekend, SN.
